Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice Gideon Saar commented on the war in Ukraine at the beginning of a New Hope party meeting held at the Begin Heritage Center.
"The events of the last days in Ukraine teach once again the importance of relying on our own power. Our hearts are with the citizens of Ukraine in these difficult days. We have always been prepared to face the many dangers and challenges we are doomed to face. The State of Israel has always been under threat from its neighbors; this situation has changed only partially."
