The Ministry of Environmental Protection imposed a financial sanction of NIS 2,888,297 on British Israel High-Tech, a company that deals with real estate and construction projects, according to the Prevention of Marine Pollution from Land Sources Law.
The company acted in violation of the permit conditions for the discharge of groundwater into the sea in its possession, and during the months of August-September 2019, turbid water flowed at high levels and in quantities to the sea in the Tirat Carmel area, on several occasions.
