It is estimated that about 8,000 Israelis are in Ukraine, which has been under Russian fire since nightfall.
Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine Michael Brodsky called on Israelis to cross the border into Poland.Brodsky told Kan Reshet Bet: "We are appealing to Israelis to reach the border crossings independently and cross the border into Poland. We are preparing on the Polish side to receive Israelis and help them fly to Israel. We are receiving dozens and hundreds of calls. We are currently staying here."
