Responding to the appointment of MK Ghaida Rinawie Zoabi as Israel's consul general in Shanghai, MK Itamar Ben Gvir accused the government of wasting its money on political bribes.

"This bribe money given by Minister Yair Lapid won't help him in the long run, even if he does get rid of one more rebellious Knesset member," Ben Gvir said. "This coalition will remain dangerously divided and totally artificial. Instead of concerning itself with the welfare of Israeli citizens, it is wasting public money on political bribes."
