The Council for Higher Education approved the Open University's application to authorize and provide a PhD in Education - Technologies and Learning Systems.
The application was submitted in June 2021 and reviewed by an International Committee of Experts.
The chairman of the Council for Higher Education, Minister of Education Dr. Yifat Shasha Biton, said, "Approving the Open University's application to grant a doctorate for the first time in its history is an important step in the process of making the higher education system accessible, which I have defined as one of my main goals."
