Shai Alon, the head of the Beit El Regional Council, had sharp words of criticism for government members after learning of a statement made by Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz condemning "settler violence," without any protest being made by Prime Minister Naftali Bennett. Horowitz made his statement during a meeting of the government's security cabinet.

"I see no reason to be critical of Horowitz himself," Alon said. "The ones to blame for this are those who made him a minister in the first place. According to reports, Prime Minister Bennett remained silent when Horowitz said what he did. The ideology of the Meretz party is being strenuously promoted, and meanwhile, those who purport to represent the Right in the government remain silent. This government is one of the extreme-Left, in its totality, and we should relate to it as such."
