The Shas party has leveled scathing criticism against the laws on conversion to Judaism intended to be put to a vote in the government on Sunday.
"Masses of infiltrators, foreign workers, and migrants are about to celebrate Minister Kahana's new fast-track conversion highway and become full-fledged 'Jews'. The Minister for the Destruction of Religion continues to destroy the foundations of our existence as the people of Israel in the Jewish state by breaking the conversion system according to Halacha, destroying the Chief Rabbinate, promoting recognition of Reform services, and splitting the nation. This will be mourned by our generation and many to come," Shas accused.
