Likud faction chairman MK Yariv Levin responded to the State Attorney's Office's announcement about the unusual use of spyware against state witness Shlomo Filber.

"The prosecution's response regarding the surveillance of civilians is a disgrace to its writers. It is not possible for investigators to question themselves again."

"It is not possible for the State Attorney's Office to agree that a senior government official was monitored, in clear violation of the law, and the world will go on as if it was normal. An independent commission of inquiry must be set up - and now," Levin said.
