The Labor and Welfare Committee approved today a series of benefits for national service volunteers.
A lone volunteer, whose parents do not live in Israel, will receive an extra NIS 540 per month. A volunteer who lives at home and bears their own food expenses for at least two meals a day - NIS 247, for a volunteer living at home and prepares one meal per day at most - NIS 123, for a volunteer who lives in a national service apartment and bears his or her own living expenses in the amount of at least two meals a day - 335 NIS, a volunteer who lives in a service apartment and prepares him or herself at the one meal per day at most - NIS 177 and other benefits.
