The Bank of Israel filed an intellectual property claim in the Ramle Magistrate's Court for NIS 400,000 against two brothers who were convicted of counterfeiting banknotes, claiming that they had infringed the Bank of Israel's copyright issues by copying the portraits on the banknotes.
The lawsuit was filed against Or and Yoav Balulu from Ramla, following a criminal proceeding conducted over the years, in which they were convicted of, among other things, forgery of money and possession of counterfeit money and were sentenced to prison and fines.
