Welfare Minister Meir Cohen said in an interview with the Maariv newspaper that "the new government 'of change' has done more for the poor than any other government."

He said, "I do not understand those who are in a hurry to end it, even though it is really a complex government. All the ministers understand that we cannot dismantle a government that is finally working for the citizens."

When asked if he believes the rotation will take place, Cohen replied: "I am sure it will happen. Yair Lapid shows outstanding leadership and he deserves to be prime minister. He, more than any leader, put his ego aside and told us all that we do what is important for the State of Israel. I am also certain that Bennett will keep his word. "
