Shas chairman Aryeh Deri responded to the announcement by Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and Finance Minister Avigdor Liberman of their measures to alleviate the cost of living.
"Bennett and Liberman's press conference could be broadcast on the 'Imposters' program. The frightened duo, who until two weeks ago said everything was heaven and demonstrated indifference to economic hardship, were pressured by a Shas campaign that ignited public protest and media pressure," Deri said.
"They have come up qith some confused measures designed to benefit only the 'good families' - a code name for continued discrimination and deliberate harm to peripheral and haredi populations, which will continue to buckle under the cost of living. This is not a plan to lower the cost of living."
