MK Ofir Sofer's (Religious Zionism) law regarding service dogs for victims of PTSD has received the support of the government.
"I was privileged to be exposed to the sacred work done at the Service Dog Center. This law was written together with them and is an important law that will help those who gave their bodies and souls for the State of Israel. I congratulate the members of the Ministerial Committee on its approval," Sofer said.
The bill would allow service dogs for victims of PTSD to be included under the Disability Rights Act, preventing those with PTSD-related service dogs from being denied entry or employment because of their dog. "That's the minimum we can do for them," Sofer said.
