MK Israel Katz (Likud) commented on the use of spyware against the defendants in Netanyahu's trials, calling for a state commission of inquiry.

"These shocking revelations about the illegal use of NSO's spyware against the defendants in Netanyahu's cases to incriminate and overthrow an incumbent prime minister are provocative and require the establishment of a parliamentary commission of inquiry, or another independent committee, to reveal the whole truth," Katz insisted.

''The protection of privacy and the protection of the rights of the detainees are cornerstones of any enlightened democratic regime, and must in no way be compromised. I expect all Knesset members, regardless of party or opinion, and from all human rights organizations, to support the clear and just demand for the establishment of a commission of inquiry immediately," he added.
