The Ministry of Environmental Protection and the Ministry of Health warn of high to very high air pollution levels in the Negev and the Arava as well as high air pollution in Gush Dan, Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, the Jordan Valley, the Judean Foothills and the coastal plain. This is due to high concentrations of particles. In the other areas, moderate air pollution is forecast.
A gradual improvement in air quality is expected to occur during Friday, from the afternoon. In the Negev and Arava there will be an improvement in air quality during the evening hours.
The Ministry of Environmental Protection, together with the Ministry of Health, recommends that sensitive populations - including those with heart complications, lung complications, the elderly, children and pregnant women - avoid strenuous physical activity outside. For the general population it is recommended to reduce strenuous exercise outside.
