Magen David Adom responded to the approval of the Telephone Emergency Calls Bill by the Ministerial Committee on Legislation.
"We very much appreciate the decision of the Ministerial Committee on Legislation. The ministers chose to cherish the activities of the MDA Center and its dedicated staff and enshrine in legislation that MDA's 101 Center will serve as the national center of the State of Israel and will be subject to the Ministry of Health. The principle of the first-responders operations will continue to function as it does today - depending on their availability, location and professional competence," the company said.
The MDA also said: "We would like to thank Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz for insisting that the medical service provided to Israeli citizens continue to be at the highest professional level, as it has been to date."
