The Joint Arab List slammed the government's compromise deal which would legalize the Samaria community of Eviyatar.
"This government is doing things that the Netanyahu government did not dare to do. The approval of Eviyatar's establishment is a spit in the face of anyone who is interested in peace and democracy," the faction said. "Nine Palestinians have been killed in the fight against this settlement. Today, under Israeli law, the attempt to legalize plunder and annexation that is illegal under international law like all settlements is a foregone conclusion. The theft of Palestinian lands cannot be legalized by any prosecutor or government."
