According to reports, various officials within the security apparatus have contradicted the words of Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, and assert that it will take at least two to three years before a laser interception system becomes operational.
Earlier on Sunday, Bennett claimed that the system would begin to be used within the year. Defense officials demurred, alleging that the IDF has failed to deliver accurate or reliable reports to the Prime Minister.
