The Health Ministry has announced the discovery of a wild jackal infected with rabies in the Upper Galilee, near the Sedei Eliezer moshav. It is not known if any humans have been exposed to the animal.
As such, the Ministry has asked for all people for whom either they or their animals were in the area and were in contact with a wild animal, between January 17 and January 31, to make an urgent visit to the Health Ministry center in Tzfat or a center near their place of residence, in order to assess whether they should be given a preventative dose of anti-rabies medication.
