Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked has issued a sharp critique of Religious Zionism party head MK Bezalel Smotrich, accusing him of playing petty politics with Israel's security.
"Does he have no shame? With his own two hands, Smotrich, by way of lies and distortions, overthrew the Citizenship Law half a year ago," Shaked said. "He doesn't care about the Jewish character of the State of Israel, nor does its security concern him. All he cares about is petty politics. If the State of Israel has any importance in his eyes, he should repent his past misdeeds and ensure that the Law passes this time around."
