Ahuvia Sandak's family has commented on Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit's decision not to prosecute the police officers involved in the death of their son.
"This is a first-rate moral, investigative and legal disaster. Police officers killed our son, falsified evidence, contaminated the scene, gave false testimony about the incident that contradicts the evidence and other testimonies. Unfortunately, it turns out that the Department for Investigations of Police, the state prosecutor, and the Attorney General have all elected to refrain from pursuing the truth any further. Every parent in Israel should be concerned about this decision, which leaves our children's fate in the violent hands of the Israel Police," the family commented.
