Responding to reports that the illegal Bedouin outpost of Khan al-Akhmar is to be relocated 300 meters away from its current site, in order to circumvent a court ruling ordering its evacuation, MK Bezalel Smotrich, head of the Religious Zionism party, has condemned the government.

"There is no red line that this Bennett-Shaked-Abbas government will not cross, no value that it will not sell out on, in the name of political survival," Smotrich accused. "The legalization of Khan al-Akhmar in the same strategic location between Jerusalem and the Dead Sea is not just a breach of the election promises made by Bennett and Shaked but also a crime against the nation, against Zionism, and against the strategic interests of the country and its security - a mortal blow to Israel's sovereignty.

"Bennett and Shaked have surrendered Israel to pressure from Europe and are now going to implement the strategic plans of the Palestinian Authority to create territorial contiguity for Arabs and cut off the same for the Jewish settlements in the region, by way of establishing a terrorist Palestinian state in the very heart of the Land of Israel."
