Responding to an attack on the government by former premier Netanyahu, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett defended his policies, primarily the decision to end quarantines for schoolchildren following exposure to confirmed coronavirus carriers.

"It's good to see Netanyahu taking time off his personal troubles and getting back to sowing hysteria and chaos, as is his wont," Bennett wrote.

"After three lockdowns, 6,500 people dead, 100 thousand businesses closed down, a million people unemployed, and children learning only via screens, the citizens of Israel are telling him: Thanks, but no thanks."
