The Knesset plenum has approved on first reading the Minister of Justice's proposal for reforming Israel's privacy protection laws
The reform is intended to protect citizens and adapt law and enforcement to the digital age. It will strengthen the Privacy Protection Authority's administrative enforcement capacity in cases of non-compliance with the level of adequate information security by information holders, as is customary in the world, and are necessary to prevent future data leaks.
