The chairman of the Constitution, Law, and Justice Committee, MK Gilad Kariv (Labor), commented on the unusual event that took place during the committee's "Zoom" video conference.

"It is a pity that opponents of the government have recently escalated their protest to the point of distributing offensive images during the last debate and launching spam attacks on committee members. I would like to thank the committee members, especially the opposition, who welcomed the work of the long and hard-working committee. Some even announced support for the law due to the violent messages they received," Kariv said.

"It should be remembered - the new law increases parliamentary oversight and puts an end to the 'state of emergency' in which we have been for almost two years. We will pass it despite this harassment."
