The State Attorney's Office for Taxation and Economics, informed Yaakov Edri, Mayor of Or Akiva, that his prosecution is being considered subject to a hearing.
Edri is suspected of bribery of hundreds of thousands of shekels in six different cases, as well as fraud and breach of trust, cases of fraud under aggravated circumstances, theft, money laundering, obstruction of justice - which he allegedly committed in his role as mayor; violent offenses and tax offenses.
The prosecution of 14 other suspects in the case is also being considered, for offenses of giving and receiving bribes, fraud and breach of trust, aiding and abetting theft by a public official and money laundering, each according to his share.
