Shas chairman, Aryeh Deri, is expected to arrive at the Knesset today to hand over his letter of resignation to Knesset Speaker MK Mickey Levy, as agreed in the plea deal in his case.
Deri was indicted on tax offense charges as part of a plea deal that will see him resign from the Knesset
Deri will continue to head Shas, and will be replaced in Knesset by Knesset member next in line on the party list, Yossi Taieb.
