The Minister of Internal Security, Omer Bar-Lev, responded to the report that police are using the "Pegasus" software to hack into the phones of civilians.
"Once clarified, there is no practice of wiretapping, or intrusion into devices, by the Israel Police without the approval of a judge," said Minister Bar-Lev."Nevertheless, I intend to verify that no corners are being cut on the subject of NSO, and that everything is examined and approved explicitly by a judge."
