The IDF committee investigating the death of the late Brigadier General Col. Sharon Asman concluded that the cause of death could not be determined with certainty.
However, it said that after examining the characteristics of the event, and based on extensive medical knowledge backed by medical research, it can be said that in all probability the cause of death is cardiac arrest.
The commission of inquiry also concluded that it would have been appropriate to use the resuscitation device at an earlier stage in the process and recommended an extensive deployment of devices in IDF units immediately.
