Defense Minister Benny Gantz commented on the draft bill falling through at the first reading: “Things that worked for the country’s first 73 years do not fit the reality of Israel today, in which only half of 18-year-olds enlist. We will bring the draft bill again within three weeks… I will not rest until I complete this national task.”
