Due to an unusual number of patients in the internal medicine wards and in the emergency room in Assuta Ashdod, mainly due to winter illness and a large number of corona cases, it was decided to divert ambulances to other hospitals for a period of two hours in coordination with the Ministry of Health.
The hospital notes that there is a critical shortage of staff which is intensifying the load.
