National traffic police officers in the Traffic Division who engaged in proactive enforcement activities against life-threatening offenses picked up a speed-measuring device, a private vehicle traveling at an excessive speed of 196 km per hour on Road 65 between Karkur Junction and Hana Junction where the speed limit is 90 km an hour.
Due to the seriousness of the offense, a police officer charged the driver of the vehicle, a young 19 year old resident of Umm al-Fahm with house arrest, his license was revoked, his vehicle was disabled and seized and the police prosecution intends to file an indictment against him.
