In an interview with Galei Tzahal, Adv. Yehuda Shaffer, former Deputy State Attorney, referred to reports of contacts in a plea deal with Netanyahu.
"I get the impression that there is no real chance of this happening, and in fact it is a spin that comes from Netanyahu's defense attorneys and I fear that it may harm the trial."
He added: "If Netanyahu was willing to leave politics - there would already be a 'full-fledged' right-wing government here, so Netanyahu is here to stay. The leak of the whole thing actually serves Netanyahu."
