The Minister of Education, Dr. Yifat Shasha Biton, talked this morning, in a professional discussion that she held, on the possibility of closing the education system.
"Today we have the comprehensive support of experts that the education system should not be closed. More and more people understand that the damage to children in its closure is enormous and we are currently seeing the dire consequences of the closures that were on children. Discourse on closing the education system hurts children and parents.
"After a year and a half of complexity and mental distress developed by the students, we struggled to open the school on September 1 despite the criticism and pledged to maintain a continuum of study for the stability and mental resilience of our children - and so we shall do during these difficult days," said Education Minister Shasha Biton.
