Following the earlier report, the IDF has clarified that the suspected ramming attack near Halamish was indeed of a terrorist nature.
An Arab driver accelerated his car towards a number of IDF troops who were securing the route. The terrorist hit an IDF soldier who was evacuated to hospital by an IAF helicopter that was dispatched to the scene.
The terrorist was apprehended and transferred to security forces for further questioning.
