Former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert explained in an interview with Galei Tzahal (IDF Radio) why he and the Netanyahu family were unable to reach an agreement in the Netanyahus’ defamation lawsuit against him, despite the judge's request.
"The reason the matter did not end today is that the Netanyahu family wanted to hold a discussion on whether there would be compensation - their lust for money is well-known. But there was no debate over the fact that expressing such an opinion is the norm," Olmert said.
