A one-and-a-half-year-old baby is hospitalized in critical condition in the intensive care unit at Assuta Hospital in Ashdod due to flu.
The hospital said that the baby had developed a fever the day before and his condition deteriorated until he had extreme difficulty breathing, the family took the baby to Terem on Saturday and from there to the hospital. Upon admission to the pediatric emergency department, he was found to be suffering from severe shortness of breath and needed a non-invasive respirator.
