French media reports that Sarah Halimi's killer was released from the psychiatric institution where he was being treated.
In 2017, Halimi was murdered by Kobili Traoré for antisemitic reasons in her home in Paris. He was absolved of responsibility for psychiatric reasons. An appeal against this decision was filed with the Surpeme Court in 2021.
