The Knesset plenum approved in a preliminary reading the Sick Pay Bill - Absence due to a child's illness, Amendment - Absence due to a child vaccinated against the coronavirus of MK Zvi Hauser, despite the government's support for the proposal.

It is proposed to stipulate that an employee will be entitled to impute a day of absence at the expense of his accumulated period of illness due to vaccinating his child under 12 years of age against the corona virus but no more than four days a year, provided the employee's spouse is not absent from work for this reason or the child is in his sole custody. An employee who is absent from work due to such vaccination will be entitled to sick pay from the first day of absence, and even for part of the day.
