France has announced that it is investigating a suspicion of terrorism in a car explosion at a Dakar Rally race held in Saudi Arabia last week.
The French prosecutor said the blast took place on December 30 in Jeddah. Five people with French citizenship were on their way to the starting point of the race when the car exploded. The driver was seriously injured.
