Palestinian Authority chairman Mahmoud Abbas spoke by telephone with a relative of administrative detainee Hisham Abu Hawash, who agreed on Tuesday to end his hunger strike in exchange for Israel not renewing his detention.
In the conversation, Abbas said that the Palestinian Authority would take care of the detainee and that it was responsible for him.
