MK Moshe Gafni, head of the UTJ party, has sharply attacked the government for its decision to cut short debate on the controversial Electricity Law.
"The coalition has lost its sense of values and is left with no moral basis whatsoever," he said. "This is a coalition that liked to talk all the time about the rule of law and the importance of correct procedure, but when the UAL party issues a threat on the Electricity Law, suddenly it doesn't even find it necessary to abide by the ruling of the Knesset's own legal adviser.
"The same thing happened with regard to the number of ministers in the government, the Norwegian Law, and indeed with every single item on the agenda. They are simply trampling on everything. And we will do everything in our power to throw them out of office as soon as we can."
