1,542 complaints regarding sexual harassment were made to the IDF during 2020, according to data presented at a meeting of the Knesset's Foreign Affairs & Defense Committee. Just 31 of the complaints resulted in a formal accusation by IDF authorities.
Around half of the complainants requested that the army not deal with the offender. Around fifty percent of the offenders were soldiers doing their mandatory service.
