MK Merav Ben Ari (Yesh Atid) calls for the removal of Judge Shlomit Ben Yitzhak, who eased the conditions of detention of a man who threatened to murder his ex-wife and their daughter, if she complained to the police again.
"Judge Shlomit Ben Yitzhak should not continue one day on the bench," Ben-Ari said. "Her decision to send a violent man who threatened his partner after he was known to have a history of threats, violation of a restraining order and a criminal record, to house arrest could have put the woman's life at risk. Fortunately, District Judge Benny Sagi intervened and reversed the decision."
