At Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital, 20 corona patients are hospitalized, including 4 patients in critical condition, and 6 in severe condition receiving respiratory support.
Acting CEO of Hadassah, Prof. Yoram Weiss: "We are witnessing the forecasts of the officials in the Ministry of Health and have completed the preparation of an additional corona ward in addition to the one currently operating at the hospital and even an 8-bed corona intensive care unit. In addition, the management is preparing additional infrastructure in case the need arises.
''As in previous waves, Hadassah, being a hospital established to serve the residents of Jerusalem and the State of Israel, is mobilizing all its capabilities to treat all patients - those hospitalized for common winter illnesses and other medical problems, in addition to treating corona patients. I call on patients with chronic diseases to continue to come and treat their diseases and not to neglect their condition during the fifth wave," Weiss added.
