Defense Minister Benny Gantz responds to the criticism from right-wing parties and declares, "I will continue to meet with Mahmoud Abbas. Whoever is responsible for sending troops into battle is responsible for doing everything possible to prevent it.
"I was disappointed with ministers who expressed themselves in a way that serves their political interests and not security interests."
This statement was in retaliation of the criticism that met Gantz on his hosting and meeting with Mahmoud Abbas in his home.
