The Director of the Ministry of Health, Prof. Nachman Ash, this evening (Sunday) approved the administration of a fourth vaccine to those aged 60 and over and medical staff. A fourth vaccine will be given only if four months have passed since the patient's last vaccination.
The decision was made in light of the increase in morbidity and the concern for the health of those aged 60 and over. It was also decided to allow medical teams working with populations at risk to be given a fourth dose, in an attempt to better protect those in closest contact with the virus.
