At the end of the week, two more bird flu hotspots were discovered in chicken coops in Moshav Devorah in the Tanachim region and in Givat Yoav in the southern Golan Heights. In both centers are about 48,000 laying hens and turkeys.
The Ministry of Agriculture estimates that more centers will be discovered. Minister of Agriculture Oded Forer: "We need to bring the chicken coops in the State of Israel to a state of high biological safety so as not to be in such a state next year as well."
