The Ministerial Committee for Legislation approved Minister Kahana’s Religious Services Law, which limits the term of office of a superior.
The purpose of the law is to limit the term of office of superiors in a manner similar to the current legal situation with respect to the composition of religious councils.
The said amendment will make it possible to refresh the ranks of the religious councils and will also increase the cooperation of the relevant authorities for the purpose of renewing the composition of religious councils.The memorandum of law will be promoted in parallel with supplementary regulations to regulate the appointment of superiors in religious councils.
