The Health Ministry has reported that cases of influenza are continuing to rise across the country.
According to figures provided by the National Center for Infections, 1,849 people were admitted to hospital with influenza last week, including 605 children and 124 new or expectant mothers.
Most patients were infected with the influenza-A virus, which was identified in the Central Virus Laboratory as a sub-type A / H3 influenza, which is included in the influenza vaccine given this season in Israel.
